Maurice’s Furnishings was opened by Maurice Jonker Sr. and family in 1981. The family had moved to Juno Beach, Florida, from Holland in pursuit of the American dream.
Maurice’s was a small antique shop back then, selling European pine antique furniture and accessories. Maurice’s Furnishings evolved to begin creating their own line of high quality antique reproductions, factory made in the U.S. It has long been known throughout South Florida that Maurice’s is the place to go for exquisite, lasting furniture.
Another way Maurice’s has evolved is that Maurice Jonker Jr. is now running the company, heading up operations in the main showroom, located in Jupiter, Florida. Many other family members are involved, as well, including Maurice Sr. and his wife Tony.

Maurice’s production facility for custom furnishings is located in Port St. Lucie, FL. Only solid wood construction is used, and one client’s project is focused on at a time. The building techniques used are time-honored and ensure that every piece produced is built to last for generations. Clients are provided the opportunity to be involved in every element of design for their custom furniture.
Many designers and builders locally as well as globally have called on the team at Maurice’s Furnishings to design, build, and install cherished pieces. Custom libraries, kitchens, closets, and media rooms are among the projects of this kind the team has completed. Successful collaboration with architects, designers, and builders has resulted in a busy production schedule.
Maurice Jr. and Sr. have both traveled the world at different times for the purpose of hand selecting the reclaimed wood for special custom projects. Maurice’s is known for going above and beyond to deliver exceptional workmanship to every client.
